A Special Day

You don’t get to experience something which I/We experienced today; it was exceptional day for us. Us here are me, my wife and my parents. It was my wife’s birthday today and we had planned a full proof plan. The plan was,

# Go to a jewellery shop buy her some ornaments,

# Go to a five star hotel for a lovely and scrumptious lunch

# Go to a movie from there

The day started off fine, we went to Tanishq and she selected a gorgeous pair of earrings, it had a price tag of around 16 k which I don’t think my parents have ever spent on my birthday. This in fact illustrates the fortune of every married guy.

Anyways from there we went to a five star hotel where my father is a member, Rajputana Sheraton. And as soon as we entered we realized that the teams of Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals are also staying in the same hotel, we had lunch which was remarkable

and came back to the reception area in an anticipation to grab a glimpse of all the cricketers. We did find many players hanging out in the lobby area but we could not get to them because of safety measures, anyways here are some distorted far-away pics of some of the players,

                                   Yusuf Pathan                                       Shane Warne

You know they looked same as they look in television, no kidding.

It was good to see them live. From there we went to a movie “Atithi Tum kab Jaoge”. We didn’t just go there to watch movie because we knew that movie is not great but what we went for was the movie theatre, my wife had never seen it, it’s called Rajmandir. It’s not a regular movie theatre but is considered a kind of attraction like any other tourist spot and everyone must go see it when they visit Jaipur.

Not marble nor the gilded monuments
Of princes shall outlive this Blog o thine,
But you shall shine more bright in these contents
Than unswept stone besmeared with sluttish time.
When wasteful war shall statues overturn,
And broils root out the work of masonry,
Nor Mars his sword nor war's quick fire shall burn
The living record of your memory.
'Gainst death and all oblivious enmity
Shall you pace forth; your praise shall still find room
Even in the eyes of all posterity
That wear this world out to the ending doom.
So, till the judgement that yourself arise,
You live in this, and dwell in readers' eyes.
